It Just Doesn't Add Up

Right now, one plus one just doesn't make two,
'How,' I ask, 'are we supposed to make it through?'
Her life - so precious, so dear, so cherished,
'Why?' we ask, 'Why has she perished?'

I, right now, as well as you,
Am filled with disbelief - beyond proof.
One moment with us, the next one she's not;
Truly, death be not proud as you think you ought.

Tall,full of poise, adorned with grace,
Her smile, her gap, that beautiful face,
Disciplined and determined at nothing would she stop;
Bright future, bound, for nowhere but the top,

Though days have passed and physically you're gone
Adjovu, Akler, Yvonne - your memory lives on.
 It's been 4 years since God took you back to be with Him.  To think that, that earlier on that afternoon you served me lunch at the Prefect's Table.
I wrote this the next evening after it was announced at assembly. We cried so much, our sorrow then knew no end, till we acknowledged the fact that God knows best and in all things we were to give thanks. Thus we celebrated and still celebrate you and all you have achieved.
Even though you were here for only a while, you made a great impact in the lives of people you met and encountered.
I will never forget you! You are loved and remembered by us all! Till we meet again...
